MicroData Germany
High-resolution sociodemographic data and digital map layers for analytics, site planning, and microdata applications.
Modern microdata for analysis and planning
MicroData provides reliable sociodemographic structural data for Germany, combined with digital spatial layers such as building-level, urban block, and 100-meter grid data, as well as higher-level administrative boundary maps. The datasets are methodically consistent and optimized for data-driven analysis, modeling, and planning workflows.
Benefits
Analytical expertise
MicroData is developed and modeled based on long-standing experience in spatial statistics, site analysis, and data-driven planning methodologies.
Methodically consistent
High-resolution structural data at building, urban block, and 100-meter grid level, modeled using a unified methodology based on official statistics and proprietary marketing data.
Built for professional analytics
Reliably structured datasets for long-term use in GIS, database, and data science environments, as well as for integration with routing and accessibility models.

FAQ
MicroData includes population, household, and building-level information. In addition, specific target group and structural attributes are available, particularly relevant for marketing, analytics, and planning use cases.
Yes. The MicroData datasets are updated once per year to reliably reflect current demographic and structural changes.
Yes. The modeling incorporates data from the Federal Statistical Office of Germany (Destatis), the statistical offices of the federal states, municipal statistics, and the Federal Agency for Cartography and Geodesy. In addition, proprietary marketing and structural data are used to spatially refine and model the datasets and to optimize them for analytical and commercial use cases.
Proprietary MicroData provides methodically consistent modeling and validated data quality that cannot be achieved with freely available datasets in the same form.
High-resolution datasets are provided through an annual subscription. ZIP/postal code–level data can alternatively be licensed for unlimited, perpetual use.
Yes. Using the 100-meter INSPIRE grid, MicroData can be directly linked to the Offline Routing Engine and integrated into routing and accessibility analyses.
The most commonly used layers include the urban block level and the 100-meter grid level. Additional spatial boundary layers are available upon request.
No. The 100-meter INSPIRE grid is available as a free download and can be used independently of additional map products.
The data is delivered in common, analytics-ready formats suitable for GIS, database, and Python-based workflows.
Yes. MicroData is designed for professional and commercial analytics and planning applications.
